Sly Stallone is Already Thinking About An 'Expendables' Sequel« FirstShowing.net

Though the testosterone fueled action rompThe Expendablesisn't hitting theaters for a few more days,24 Framessays the film's writer/director/starSylvester Stallonehas already been contemplating an idea for asequel(but that's it). However, the legendary action star is not arrogantly assuming his movie will perform well enough at the box office to warrant a sequel, but he's just thinking ahead. Stallone said,"If this does perform, I think it will open a little more liquidity in funding the sequel."Maybe if it does well enough, Stallone could bring Danny Trejo into the mix afterpulling the rug from under his feetthe first time around.

As far as the story goes, it sounds like Stallone has something wild in mind, but he wasn't forthcoming with any details. He said:"I have an idea ready to go. People think doing a sequel is easy, but it's not because you need the element of surprise. I'm going to try to do something that'squite radical."Despite the muscular cast, Stallone had some difficulty getting funding, but like he said, if the sequel does well this weekend, then he shouldn't have too much trouble getting another one off the ground. The real question is, what will Sly do to top cameos from the likes of Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
